GSL (INDIA) LIMITED, (GSL) formerly known as Gujarat Spinners Limited, was promoted by the Bagrodia family and the Gujarat State Textile Corporation (GSTC) as joint sector company in the year 1982 to manufacture Synthetic Blended Yarn.

GSL commenced its commercial production as a spinning unit in the year 1984 with installed capacity of 6000 spindles in village Amletha, Dist. - Narmada (then Bharuch), Gujarat , which came under the Notified Backward Area, dominated by Adivasis and tribal. The company is located 55 Km from Ankleshwar / Bharuch & 80 Km from Vadodara. The company is managed by the Board of Directors who are mostly professionals and have rich experience in the respective areas.
